The library welcomes donations of books and DVDs from groups and from individuals. Eldorado Memorial Library does reserve the right to determine if the donated items become part of the library’s collection, offered as part of the library’s book sales, or recycled.

EML cannot accept the following donations:

• Textbooks and workbooks
• Material more than 2 years old in these subject areas: technology, science, medicine, health.

Eldorado Memorial Library reserves the right to refuse donations of items that do not meet these criteria. Donated items that are in poor condition will be discarded. Donated items must be in good condition and free of odor, mold, and infestation.

You can drop off small donations in boxes or bags at EML’s circulation desk Monday through Friday between 9 am and 4 pm. Call ahead at 618-273-7922 to schedule larger donations, and a library Staff Member can help you carry in your donations.

Simply ask an library staff member for a receipt with your donation. The library cannot assess the value of donated items, so donors are responsible for providing that estimate.

All donations must be delivered to the library.
